The Cabinet has approved the establishment of the Institute for Financial Innovation and Technology (InFinIT), in order to foster domestic financial technology (fintech) development. The institute will support the fintech ecosystem in Thailand by offering a platform for professionals and startups to conduct research and development related to fintech. The move is said to safeguard and support online financial transactions.
